The City is a new online communication software that we are in the process of implementing here at North Side Baptist Church. Needless to say, communications is a challenge with over 1750 members!
I would like to share a personal word of testimony on the effectiveness of communication with The City…from a soon 59 (soon to be 60) year old guy.
Wow…I must be honest…at first I was somewhat skeptical of the effectiveness The City when I heard the sales pitch. But, now that we have been using it for several months now…I am sold on it. Here are a couple examples…
1. On a personal note…I cannot tell you of the comfort for our family through the prayers and words of encouragement as we help our son through his sickness.
2. From a leaders standpoint…it has been extremely effective in communicating to team members on the One Initiative as well as daily communication with the staff.
3. From a volunteer standpoint…it has been very effective in coordinating and scheduling the Innkeepers for the homeless shelter.
4. From a needs standpoint…wow, it was great in getting the needs out for the family whose home burned recently and what encouragement to all when North Side members responded to the need.
I am sold. The City is the right tool for North Side’s next step in our communication’s strategy.
