Trust is…
If you know anything about me, you know that my life verse is Proverbs 3:5 & 6…
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
I was constantly reminded of this verse during our trip this past week to visit with our son and daughter-in-law up in Bethesda, Maryland. Here are a couple of thoughts…
- Trust is all or nothing.
- Trust is watching 400,000,000 stem cells being infused into your son’s body.
- Trust is the seeing the peace on your son’s face as he is being treated for this ugly this disease.
- Trust is putting your confidence in National Institute of Health and their protocol.
- Trust is putting your confidence in the Transplant Team and their decisions.
- Trust is serving our faithful God.
- Trust is watching a faithful wife care for her husband.
- Trust is knowing the perfect will of God for each of us.
- Trust is being helpless as parents and knowing our son is in the right place.
- Trust is knowing God’s unconditional love for us.
- Trust is unconditional.
- Trust is leaving your son at the end of the visit knowing that he is in the right place to rid him of this disease.
- Trust is knowing that God is in control and He has the perfect plan.
- Trust is nothing less than 100%.
There are times in our lives when we need to realize that we do not have all the answers, we cannot fix the problem and we need to trust others that God has placed in a position “for a time such as this”. We need to trust the Lord of our lives with our lives. A pretty simple statement…but at times hard to implement.
Are you trusting God 100% today? Are you trusting those God has placed in positions of influence 100%?

Thank you, Ken, for this post. I needed to hear & be reminded that I can & should trust God in all things.
